Polaroid Instant Shuts Down

Another blow to my interest in taking artistic Polaroid pictures like the one on polanoid.net. Per this article Link. I wonder how long (if in my lifetime anyway) that the hobby becomes extinct. Reason I never started was because their available cameras like the Polaroid One600 Classic was just so big. I also wonder what my friend who is an Optometrist will do? He buys large amounts of 600 (polaroid instant film) from costco for his machines.

For a short time I was looking for a SX-70 which looks like this .
Pretty neat right? Picture taken from here. But I think I will have to abandon that. Too many hobbies and equipments hanging about the apartment with no room for more.
